"This restaurant is a good waiting area for the pictures, it has an amazing view with a very nice atmosphere. At the end take your receipt cause after you finish you can come back here and go to the rooftop of the restaurant to take some amazing photos with the best view of the mountain. Photos here might actually be better than the photos of the gate."

"MAHA KENCANA is a solid stop if you want authentic Balinese food done right—no gimmicks, just real flavors. Anggink, our hostess, was genuinely warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The menu focuses on original Balinese dishes, well-prepared and satisfying—exactly what you want when you’re hungry and don’t feel like gambling on a tourist trap. Location-wise, it’s perfectly placed if you’re heading to or coming from the Gates of Heaven. Ideal for a relaxed bite before the climb or a well-earned meal afterward. Straightforward, authentic, and welcoming. If you’re in the area, it’s an easy yes."

"This is a photo spot just 2-4 mins before Lampuyang Temple. They changed 20k per person for a photo shoot. I would recommend to come here first and then go to Gate of Heaven. Once you purchase the tickets, the serial number is already there with you, you will only be called once your turn comes. So to utilise the time go here first. They will let you take as many pictures as you want. There was less rush. The backdrop of Mt. Agung is spectacular. The pictures will be worth it. They also have seating arrangements, and also food options. Definitely worth going there."

"The restaurant is for tourists that wait their turn to enter the famous temple on top of the hill, however the quality of the local food is good. The view is the best and has a dedicated spot for taking pictures only for the clients."

"Though we liked the mee goreng, nasi goreng and fresh juice, I can tell you come to this place not for the food as the main reason. Located at the elevated part of Lempuyang, from the restaurant level they have a wonderful 180 degrees view of the surrounding including the majestic sacred mountain. On the rooftop, they even have a better view of 360 degrees. A photographer who accepts donation took beautiful photos of us in the outdoor swing with the mountain as the background. You get free entry to the rooftop if you dine in their restaurant."

"What stands out in this place is the view of Mt Agung while you have a relaxing breakfast. Great place to chill and relax after a long queue at the Gate of Heavens. Food is okay. After you have your meal, go upstairs and show your receipt. There will be some spots for instagram photography. The workers there will help to take good photos. Recommended to come this place."

"This was a great way to break up our three hour wait at the Lempuyang Temple. We bought our tickets for the temple entrance and about midway through our wait, we walked back down to this restaurant, had lunch and walked back up to the temple (to continue our wait). This restaurant is conveniently located at the foot of the hill. It’s clean and the service is excellent. There’s a lot of international food choices. Balinese, American and European. As well as, fresh juices, sodas and alcoholic drinks."

"Tasty food with lots of variety, mostly international options. Amazing view of the volcano and access to the photo spots on the roof with your receipt"
